  • Discuss challenges associated with “good death” language
  • List five preferred approaches when talking about the death experience both backstage and at the bedside
  • Explain two methods to use when people avoid and/or refuse to talk about death
  • Define the time of death specific plan of care (TOD POC)
  • Discuss the importance of true interdisciplinary approaches to “choreographing” a meaningful end-of-life experience

WEBINAR DETAILS

Having a meaningful end-of-life experience is not a new concept within hospice. Often, we hear the term “good death” associated with this, but what does that mean? Who defines it? Is not achieving a good death a failure? This webinar will teach the interdisciplinary team what this confusing term means and how to overcome related challenges. The main role of the hospice and palliative care interdisciplinary team is to help people envision and plan for their best possible experience. However, if caregivers remain problem-focused, opportunities may be missed. Join us for a deep dive into the very specific role of planning and facilitating each person’s version of a good death.

Attendance certificate provided, however there are no pre-approved CEs associated with this webinar.
