Join Dr. Howard Homler as he provides the physician's perspective and needs from the IDT meeting and its participants. Participants will gain a clear understanding of what the physician is looking for and how to help your physician be a star.  After completing this webinar, you will be more effective at your next IDT!

Objectives:

• You will grasp the information that the physician is listening for during the team meeting for certifications, recertification's, and symptom management.
• You will be able to polish up your patient presentations.
• You'll be able to anticipate questions and be a superstar!
• Understand the contributions the social worker, aides and chaplain provide to the physician.
• Understand how you can help your physician manage complex issues.

Presenter: 

Howard Homler MD, Seasons Hospice

Dr. Homler attended Medical School at the University of California at Irvine and completed his residency at the University of California at Davis. Dr. Homler has been in practicing Internal Medicine since 1982. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been board certified in Hospice and Palliative care since 2012. Dr. Homler is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. 

Dr. Homler is a recipient of the Master Clinician Award from UC Davis, and has contributed to many publications, including the British Medical Journal, Mayo Clinic Proceeding, and the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine, among others. In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving and underwater photography. He has participated in overseas medical volunteering in Fiji, India, and Mexico. Dr. Homler enjoys teaching people doing their fellowships in Hospice and Palliative Care. He is a longtime resident of the greater Sacramento area.
