Jennifer Amheiser, BSN, RN has over 30 years of healthcare experience serving in acute care and community settings. As Director of Education Services at HealthCare ConsultLink, she coordinates the home health, hospice, and attendant services educational events and serves in the consulting role assisting agencies and consultants with QAPI processes, emergency preparedness plans, due diligence surveys, and start-ups. Jennifer especially enjoys educating agencies and helping with measures that directly impact patient care.

Mary Nicholson BSN, MPA Consultant and Policy Content Writer: Mary’s nursing career is centered in home care and hospice.  Once she realized that nursing could be provided to one patient at a time, she knew her calling. Over the years, Mary has held numerous positions as a nurse, manager and administrator, but found her second calling as a compliance officer.  She believes that compliance, quality care and compassion are not mutually exclusive. Mary has extensive experience in managing certification surveys and Targeted Probe and Educate (TPE) CMS audits including plans of correction and appeals. Her experience with oversight and management of QAPI, medical records, policies and procedures, privacy and both internal and external clinical and regulatory audits has been an excellent fit in her work with HealthCare ConsultLink.  She has assisted hospices to achieve compliance by performing records audits, writing government denial appeals, and creating and editing policies. Her passion is in the development and delivery of educational material on a variety of hospice compliance topics that speak to how staff can achieve regulatory compliance without sacrificing clinical excellence and compassion.

Heid Wall BSN, RN, CPHQ| Senior Director of Hospice Consulting Services Heidi Wall started her nursing career in pediatric bone marrow transplant at Boston Children’s Hospital. She continued this endeavor and added pediatric ICU and adult oncology experience while serving three years as an active-duty United States Air Force Medical Services Officer. Since her military service time she followed through with her contributions to pediatric nursing at Stanford Children’s Hospital and the Palo Alto Medical Clinic in California. Heidi made the transition to a career focusing on end-of-life care in 2002 and gained over 20 years of hospice clinical, regulatory and operations experience working as a field nurse, quality and compliance director and administrator for both non-profit and large for-profit corporate hospice agencies. Her passion for hospice, knowledge of the industry and desire to aid others in providing quality and compliant end-of-life care has led to her current role as the Senior Director of Consulting Services for HealthCare ConsultLink (HCL). She engages in the development and hospice consulting and education services and the oversight of PolicyLink manual content writing for HCL.
