Free Webinar | Context-Informed Care: Supporting Black Americans’ Mental and Physical Health through End-of-Life

presented by Gregory Whiting, MSW, LICSW (2 CEUs WA and OR)

A year into the pandemic, long-standing healthcare disparities have been exposed. This seminar contextualizes Black Americans’ experiences within healthcare systems and outlines steps providers can take to offer more equitable care through end-of-life. The seminar begins with origin stories to show the breadth of Black Americans’ personal histories and provides an overview of Black Americans’ contact with mental and physical healthcare systems. The course covers common obstacles to culturally sensitive care and outlines some steps providers can take to build trust, work toward equity, and offer client-centered care.
